The NewYork Mets have acquired right hander Ariel Jurado from the Texas Rangers for a player to be named later and cash considerations.

Jurado, 24, has a 5.85 ERA in 44 career games where 26 of which were starts.

Ryan Cordell has been designated for assignment to make room on the 40-man roster for Jurado, who will now head out to the Brooklyn facility.
