According to Anthony DiComo of MLB.com, the Mets have acquired infielder Robel Garcia off of waivers from the Cincinnati Reds.

Garcia last appeared at the Major League level in 2019 with the Chicago Cubs. The switch hitting infielder hit 5 home runs in 72 at-bats as well as drove in 11 RBI’s. However Garcia would only hit for a .208/.275/.500/.775 slash line, but it looks like there’s some pop there.

In return, the Mets have DFA’d Ryan Cordell.
