The Mets have a gem in Outfielder Michael Conforto. Here’s a closer look at what makes him so special to a team that’s in dire need of offensive support.

Conforto is sporting a 1.6 WAR, has 7 home runs, 25 RBI’s with a .331 Batting Average. He also has 29 doubles this season.

Conforto seems to get on base quite often, and more often than not he drives in one or more for the Mets.

It’s a blessing for this Mets offense to have a blossomed player such as Conforto, who seemed to adjust his swing after over two seasons of solid hitting in a Mets uniform.

Will the Mets see him become a Mike Trout type of player? I doubt that. I’d give him one more year before he becomes a Javier Baez/ Marcell Ozuna caliber player. He is quite clutch, and if you give him a year or two you could very well see a league leading breakout season from him.

To put things into perspective, Michael Conforto has developed into a diamond in the rough for the New York Mets. His ever special ability to constantly put runs on the board for the Mets shows he has unfinished business as far as to what he is capable of accomplishing in a year. The sky is the limit right now.
