Mets’ ultimate utility-man Jeff McNeil’s knee X-ray has come back negative, so the hope is it’s just a bad bruise. He will go for an MRI for further testing to confirm the injury. McNeil, made a run-saving catch while crashing into the wall in 1st inning.

It looks like “The Flying Squirrel” will be on the shelf for about 5 days. McNeil is hitting .293/.358/.362/.720 in 58 at-bats on the year.
