New York Mets GM Brodie Van Wagenen told the media today that the Mets are “extremely excited” about where Dellin Betances is physically.

He’s thrown live batting practice over the last couple of weeks and is ready to go once summer camp begins, shortly.

Betances is currently here on a one-year deal worth $10M and is slated to slot into the set-up role.
