One of the biggest acquisitions so far during the past off-season is undoubtedly shortstop Francisco Lindor. Not only has the Puerto Rican born player been a slugger for Cleveland, but the elite fielder has been spark plug as well as a clubhouse leader.

While Lindor has struggled out of the gate, the switch-hitter might be finding his groove as of late. It’s not just all in the numbers, it’s showing in his smile as well as style… not to forget, the Mets have been winning.

In his last seven games (29 at-bats), Lindor has been hitting .310/.333/.510 with a triple, home run and three RBI’s. Not only has he been hitting, but his surrounding cast has been coming up big, too. In the last 10 games, the Mets are 6-4 and it’s no coincidence, Lindor has been one of the main factors to the Mets success, recently.

When asked how he feels about be so involved with the Mets surging offense, Lindor couldn’t help but to crack a huge smile and say “It was great… It makes you feel good, I’m helping the team”.

Could the San Diego Padres bring Francisco Lindor and the New York Mets back down to earth? Or will Lindor help lead the Mets to victory in what could be a potential playoff type game?
