MetsJunkies MiLB Recap: Jake Mangum Leads Binghamton to Win

Syracuse Mets (9-17)

The Syracuse Mets beat the Bisons 6-4 after a go ahead two run homerun from David Thompson in the seventh. It was Thompson his sixth homerun of the season. Mazeika went 2 for 4, with a double and two runs scored. Khalil Lee drove in Mazeika with a double and Orlando Calixte had three hits.

The Syracuse Mets scored 4 runs against former Met farmhand Anthony Kay, in his 3.1 innings of work.

Adam Bostick went 3.2 innings, allowing three runs. Tarpley pitched a scoreless frame with 2 strikeouts in his return and Yennsy Diaz pitched two scoreless to keep the lead. Stephen Nogosek got the save, lowering his ERA to 1.35.

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (6-19)

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies won thanks to an Jake Mangum go ahead RBI triple and a Walter Lagrange Sac fly in the top of the 10th.

Mangum kept on hitting since joining the Rumble Ponies, going 3 for 5 with 2 RBIs and three run scored. Mangum is hitting .368 with a .974 OPS for Binghamton.

The Rumble Ponies bullpen helped out, after Rennie struggled. McIlraith and Mitchell combined for 5.2 innings of one run ball. Robinson got the save, allowing just the ghost runner to score.

Brooklyn Cyclones (8-15)

The Cyclones lost to the BlueClaws 4-1. Ronny Mauricio drove in the only run, going 1 for 5. Baty collected two hits in the loss.

Justin Lasko allowed 4 runs over 5 innings in his start.

St. Lucie Mets (16-10)

The St. Lucie Mets lost to the Mighty Mussels 8-4 on Wednesday. The St. Lucie Mets struck out 19 times in their loss.

Joander Suarez went 4.2 innings, allowing 5 runs (4 earned) in his start.
