Syracuse Mets (1-6)

After an opening day win, the Syracuse Mets have lost 6 in a row, losing to the Worcester Red Sox 8-5.

Jake Hager kept his hot hitting going with a 3 for 5 game. He is hitting .414 in the early going. Khalil Lee had a good game going 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Catchers Deivy Grullón and Hunter Cervenka homered in the loss.

Former Red Jesus Reyes got the start and allowed 3 runs over 5.2 innings of work. Reyes struck out 6 but allowed 2 homeruns that cost him. Stephen Tarpley was awful again allowing 3 runs while recording one out. His 40 man roster spot is in serious jeopardy with his 67.50 ERA. Zamora allowed 2 runs (1 earned) in 2 innings in relief as his tough start continues.

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (0-6)

The Ponies struggled continued with a 5-0 loss to the Curve. Binghamton collected just one hit in the loss. Sebastian Elizalde collected the only hit, a single. Mark Vientos struggled continued with a Golden Sombrero.

Tyler Megill got his second start and was good once again. The 2018 8th round pick threw 5 scoreless innings, with 7 strikeouts. The righty now has 17 strikeouts in 10 innings of work

Brooklyn Cyclones (3-3)

The Cyclones got back to .500 with a 6-1 victory to the Drive. Mauricio homered for his third straight game, going 1 for 5. Baty stayed hot with a 2 for 4 game with a double and 2 RBIs. Baty is hitting .471 with a 1331 OPS.

Josh Walker collected his second win going 5 innings of one run ball. The 26 year old lefty struck out 7. His ERA stands at 0.90. Dan Goggin pitched two hitless innings with 4 strikeouts and Nick MacDonald closed out the win with 2 scoreless of his own.

St. Lucie Mets (5-2)

The St. Lucie Mets improved to 5-2 with a 4-2 victory. Francisco Alvarez had another great game going 3 for 4 in the win. Alvarez is hitting .571 over the first 7 games of the year.

Luis Moreno pitched 3.2 hitless innings with 4 walks, an unearned run and 6 strikeouts. Cam Opp followed with 3.1 innings, were he allowed an unearned run, allowing 3 hits and 3 walks with 5 strikeouts.

Colby Morris and Reyson Santos closed out the win with a scoreless frame apiece.
