To make room on the roster for Robinson Cano, the Mets have optioned relief pitcher Drew Smith to the Brooklyn facility. Smith owned an ERA of 3.00 in seven appearances.

Smith looked good at the Major League level in his six innings pitched so don’t be surprised if the righty makes his way back onto the roster sometime soon.
