Rookie left handed pitcher David Peterson ended up pitching 5 innings while giving up an unearned run on one hit and striking out three on 74 pitches.

He left the game with the Mets leading the Nationals 7-1 going into the top of the 6th inning and now owns an ERA of 2.91. Six of the runs came off of the bat of Tomas Nido.

It would of been nice to see Peterson stretches to six innings today however let’s see if manager Luis Rojas has any input following today’s game.
