On This Date – September 17, 2016: Curtis Granderson hit two extra inning home runs in the same game; the first to tie it at 2-2 in the 11th inning and then a walk-off blast in the 12th to send the Mets home 3-2 winners over the Twins.

Granderson is the only Mets player to hit 2 extra inning home runs in the same game.

While Granderson is currently with the Miami Marlins, the outfielder spent parts of four seasons with the Mets where he hit .239/.341/.444/.784 with 106 doubles, 12 triples, and 95 home runs (Mostly out of the lead-off spot) in 2026 at-bats and 573 games.
