The New York Mets have signed free agent reliever Brad Brach. In order to make room on the 25-man roster, left hander Donnie Hart has been optioned to Triple-A Syracuse. In addition, Brandon Nimmo has been transferred to the 60-Day IL.

Bach will provide the Mets bullpen a Major League arm and will likely help halt the constant back and forth with relievers in Syracuse.

Brach, 33, is a New Jersey-native with a 3.32 career ERA and has made the All-Star team with the Baltimore Orioles.
