Marcus Stroman was asked about playing with Steven Matz, a fellow Long Island, New Yorker who he knows for a quite a bit now. Stroman had this to say on this reunion of sorts.

“I played baseball with Steven Matz my whole upbringing. Every travel team I was on when I was younger, he was on my team. … It’s going to be crazy to join him on this staff.”
