With left hander DL Hall starting on the mound for the Brewers, Zack Short would get the start at third. However, he was still able to come up clutch for the team as he would have the opportunity to pinch hit in the eighth.

Without much wait, Baty took the first pitch of the at-bat and drive it deep over the right-center field wall for a three run homer. The home run would cut the Mets’ deficit down to two runs to the Brewers.
Not only did it help put the Mets back in the game, but it should be a huge vote of confidence for the young third baseman.
