The Mets star first baseman spoke to the media in regards to the front office recently hitting the reset button, so to speak. And when reading between the lines, it doesn’t sound good.

“Whatever their vision is, whatever their plan is, it really doesn’t necessarily matter to me because I’m here right now and I want to be the best player I can be right now for as long as I’m here. It could be forever and I don’t necessarily know what the future holds. But as long as I’m here, you’re going to get the best from me every single day. You’re going to get my best effort to win ballgames.”

The teams sluggers also confessed that he hasn’t spoke to anyone in the front office for quite some bit.

I really have no clue what has happened to this team this year… Not only did a lot go wrong, but there’s also this weird, finger pointing type energy going on.

If this is something fans are picking up on, there’s no telling on how bad it really is.
