Tim LoCastro has been placed on the 10-day Injured List while starting pitcher Jose Butto has been optioned to Triple-A Syracuse.
To fill out the extra spot, Billy Eppler and the Mets have also recalled RHP Edwin Uceta for depth in the bullpen.
