Syracuse Mets (16-39)
The Syracuse Mets split a Doubleheader against the Railriders.
Game one:
Syracuse lost game one 3-2, as they collect only 3 hits. However two of the three went out of the park as Brandon Drury and Chance Sisco went yard.
Albert Almora had the other hit, a double and was able to gun down a runner at the plate.
Jesus Reyes dropped to 0-7 after allowing 3 runs over 4.2 innings.
Game two:
Syracuse won game two 5-0 in a rain shortened 6 inning game. Patrick Maizeka went 3 for 4 with an RBI. Maybin drove in two and Khalil Lee doubled home a run.
The Syracuse pitching combined to throw 5.2 scoreless. Eickhoff went 2 and Banda went 3.
Binghamton Rumble Ponies (20-34)
The Ponies beat the Fisher Cats 5-3. Carlos Cortes went 2 for 4 with 2 Doubles and 2 RBI’s. Luis Carpio hit a 2 run homerun. Mangum and Winaker collected two hits.
Adam Oller was solid over 5.1 innings, allowing just 3 runs (2 earned). Winans and Hackimer closed down the game for the victory.
Brooklyn Cyclones (18-36)
The Cyclones lost to the Renegades 3-2 after 10 innings. They collected just 4 hits, one of them a homer from Ronny Mauricio.
Jose Butto was solid allowing just 2 runs on 5 innings. He allowed just 5 hits without recording a walk and 6 strikeouts. Hejka got the loss allowing the ghost runner to score.
St. Lucie Mets (30-26)
The St. Lucie Mets beat the Mighty Mussels 6-2 with help from rehabbing Johneswhy Vargas, who went 1 for 4 with solo homerun. Matt Dyer and Joe Suozzi also homered in the victory.
Junior Santos was solid over 4.2 innings of 2 run ball. The bullpen was tremendous going 4.1 scoreless.
