Syracuse Mets Postponed

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (18-32)

The Ponies split a Doubleheader against the Flying Squirrels.

Game One:

The Ponies won game one in an extra inning win. The Ponies took the lead with a 5 run eight inning to win 12-7. Big hits from Quinn Brodey, Wagner Lagrange and Luis Carpio got the Rumble Ponies the lead.

Wagner Lagrange had a 4 hit/6 RBI game, he hit a three run homerun in the first. Carpio, Mangum, Ortega and Cortes had two hit games. Manny Rodriguez collected three hits.

The Rumble Ponies defense made 6 errors which didn’t help Josh Walker. The lefty went 3.2 innings, allowing 6 runs but just 2 earned. Winans and Gilliam combined to pitch 2.1 innings of one run ball.

Game Two:

The Ponies lost game two by a 6-3 final score. Jake Mangum collected another 2 hit game and Walter Lagrange went yard again in game two.

Cole Gordon struggled, allowing 6 runs in the first 3 innings. He settled down to throw 5 innings. Eric Orze made his AA debut, striking out the side.

Brooklyn Cyclones (18-32)

The Cyclones beat the IronBirds 6-5. Luke Ritter went 2 for 4 with 3 RBIs. Baty went 2 for 5 with 2 runs scored. Duplantis drove in a run, collecting three hits.

Connor Grey went 4 innings allowing 3 runs (2 earned). Colby Morris pitched 2 important scoreless innings. Bryce Montes de Oca got his second save, with 2 strikeouts.

St. Lucie Mets (28-24)

The St. Lucie Mets clobbered the Threshers 14-4. Warren Saunders had another huge game driving in 4. Jose Peroza went 3 for 5 with 3 RBIs.

Nic Gaddis went 2 for 5 with 3 runs scored and 2 driven in. Kleszcz hit a homerun in the victory.

It was more than enough for Franklyn Parra, who struggled with control, but still pitched 5 solid frames. Parra allowed just 2 earned runs (3 overall). He walked 5 which got him into trouble.

Sammy Taveras, Austin Faith and Luis Montas all pitched scoreless frames in relief.
