MetsJunkies MiLB Recap: Jake Mangum Walks it off!

Syracuse Mets (11-23)

The Syracuse Mets lost to the Worcester Red Sox 5-3. Tyler Megill was great in his second AAA start, going 5.1 innings of one run ball. Megill allowed just 2 hits and 2 walks with 7 strikeouts.

After Reid-Foley pitched 1.2 innings of scoreless ball, Nogosek couldn’t hold the lead allowing 4 runs (3 earned) in 1.2 innings of work.

Calixte, Puello, Tovar and Ferguson all had multi hit games.

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (11-22)

The Rumble Ponies best the BaySox 5-4 after a walk off hit from Jake Mangum. Walter Lagrange had the big pinch hit 3 run homerun in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game up.

Carlos Cortes had another 2 hit game as he is now hitting. 298 with a .933 OPS. Will Toffey also homered in the win.

Cole Gordon got the start and pitched well over 5.2 innings of 2 run ball.

Brooklyn Cyclones (10-21)

The Cyclones got two hit in a 8-0 loss to the Renegades. Duplantis and Bohanek collected the only hits.

Jaison Vilera was hurt by the homerun ball again, allowing 2 homeruns over 3.2 innings. Vilera allowed 7 runs (6 earned) over that span. Andrew Edwards struck out 4 in 2 hitless innings.

St. Lucie Mets (20-14)

The St. Lucie Mets beat the Palm Beach Cardinals 5-3 behind a 2 homerun, 4 RBI, day from Brandon McIlwain. Warren Saunders collected three hits in the win.

Junior Santos was great over 5 scoreless innings. He lowered his season ERA to 4.88. Willy Taveras struck out 4 in his third save.
