The Mets have acquired outfielder Cameron Maybin from the Chicago Cubs. The trade is for cash considerations.

Maybin has a career slash line of .256/.324/.376/.700 in 14 Major League seasons.

The veteran outfielder will report to Syracuse. A source close to the Mets however reports that Maybin will be with the team soon.
