Syracuse Mets (2-8)
The Syracuse Mets bats were silenced in a 2-1 loss to the Worcester Red Sox. Quinn Brodey homered in the seventh to break up the no-no and shutout.
Yamamoto got the start and he was terrific over 4.1 innings of one run ball. Yamamoto struck out 8 in the loss. Hildenberger struck out 5 in 2.1 scoreless, Vizcaino and Yennsy Diaz followed with scoreless outings. Stephen Nogosek allowed the game winning run after a bases loaded walk off walk.
Binghamton Rumble Ponies (0-9)
The Rumble Ponies lost for the 9th straight game to open the year with a 9-7 loss to the Curve.
Nick Meyer collected three hits and Mark Vientos crushed his second homer of the season.
Dylan Hall and Thomas McIlraith struggled but Tony Dibrell pitched 3 scoreless innings with 3 strikeouts.
Brooklyn Cyclones (4-5)
The Cyclones lost their second in a row after a 5-1 loss to the Drive. Joe Genord drove in the only run with his 3rd homer of the year.
Andrew Edwards pitched 2.1 scoreless ball in the 5-1 loss.
St. Lucie Mets (7-3)
The St. Lucie Mets beat the Tortugas after a 10 inning affair 5-4. Shervyen Newton drove in three, collecting two hits. The biggest a 2 run hit in the top of the 10th.
Justin Lasko pitched well over 6 strong innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits. Hunter Parsons got the win after 3 innings of one run ball. Colby Morris got his first pro save, allowing an unearned run in the bottom of the tenth.
