Right-hander Corey Oswalt has been DFA’d to make room for the recently signed Albert Almora jr. The Mets need to clear one man from the 40-man roster after acquiring Jonathan Villar yesterday.

Oswalt made his MLB debut with the Mets in 2018 and went 3-3 in 12 starts that season. He would end up pitching to a 5.85 ERA in 64.2 innings while having struck out 45 batters.

Throughout his career, he owns a 3-4 record with a 6.19 ERA in 23 games, over 84.1 innings.
