According to Andy Martino of SNY, the market for Kris Bryant is moving quickly. However, he mentioned the Mets interest in Bryant has “broke off” after the Lindor/Carrasco trade.

This is logical as Bryant is owned around 19m and with the Mets 28m off the luxury tax, Bryant became out of the question. According to Andy Martino it’s difficult to imagine the Mets re-enter the discussion with the Cubs.

The Mets still might look around for a third baseman, however it seems like CF and pitching is their main target right now.
