Tom Seaver, the greatest player to ever wear a New York Mets uniform has died from complications with Lyme disease as well as dementia, reports by Bill Madden of the Daily News.

It’s being reported that he died peacefully in his home in Calistoga, California. Seaver chose to step out of the public life early last year in March after being diagnosed with dementia.
