Rookie David Peterson of the New York Mets will take the hill against the Washington Nationals on Thursday afternoon before the team heads down to Philadelphia to go head to head with the Phillies.

The left hander owns an ERA of 3.78 as well as a 2-1 Winn/loss record. In the 16 innings Peterson has worked this season, he’s struck out 14 batters while keeping opponents at a .258 batting average.
