New York Mets rookie sensation and first baseman Pete Alonso has hit his 42nd home run of the 2019 campaign, breaking the franchise record that was formerly held by outfielder Carlos Beltran and catcher Todd Hundley.

The home run came off of Cubs pitcher Yu Darvish, temporarily giving the Mets the 1-0 lead.

It feels like Pete Alonso is currently the king of New York, savor the moments, young man.
