After another tough loss, the Mets continue on today against the Miami Marlins with Noah Syndergaard going to the bump for New York. Noah is 6-4 while sporting a 4.68 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 101 strikeouts in 105.2 innings pitched.
Unfortunately, he’s openly stated that he’s been having mechanical issues and has a 5.94 ERA in his previous 16.2 innings. However, the good news is that it looks like Thor is staying put in Flushing with the Mets.
It’s been recently reported that the Mets would only entertain a deal involving Syndergaard, if they were blown away by the offer and understandably so. Expect him to be in the rotation for now and likely for at least another season in 2020.
Miami Marlins’ Zac Gallen is a rookie right hander that’ll look to pick up his first Major League victory against Thor and the Mets this evening. He’s made three career starts and is 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and has struck out 16 batters in 12.0 innings pitched.
Tonight’s game will be televised on WPIX at 6:10 PM EST.
