The Padres are after Syndergaard… again.

It’s no secret that the San Diego Padres love Noah Syndergaard and want him side by side with Chris Paddock for the next several years, the only problem is, Syndergaard is on the New York Mets and not the Padres.

So just as they did during the “Winter Meetings”, the Padres will go after the Texas born righty. However this time around, I could really see the Padres putting the full-court press on Brodie Van Wagenen and the Mets with a line of top notch prospects.

There are definitely other teams interested in Thor, as well. However, the Padres have been front runners since the idea was initially thrown out there, due to their plethora of talent in the Minor League levels.

In my opinion, Jeff Todd of MLBTradeRumors brings up a very good point, saying that it wouldn’t make sense for the Mets to sell on Thor now, especially if the trade is based on Noah’s 2019 results.

Mets fans must be prepared because the San Diego Padres definitely have the talent it would take to pull-off such a trade, and trust me when I say this, they will try.
