    The New York Mets have claimed infielder Travis Blankenhorn off waivers from the Seattle Mariners and will be active for tonight’s contest in Arizona. In return, the Mets have DFA’d Wilfredo Tovar. Blankenhorn has appeared in one game for the Minnesota Twins this season however has yet to have an at-bat.

    According to Jacob Resnick the Mets are calling up Wilfredo Tovar to replace Kevin Pillar on the roster. Catcher Deivy Grullón is DFA’d to make room on the 40 man roster. This will be the third stint with the Mets big league club for Tovar as he played briefly for the 2013 and 2014 Mets.…
