Syracuse Mets (23-48)

The Syracuse Mets lost a close one to the Buffalo Bisons 3-2. Drew Jackson drove in the two runs with a 2 run double.

Carlos Carrasco was strong in his rehab start, after struggling last time out. The righty pitched 3 scoreless innings, with 6 strikeouts. He was followed by Jesus Reyes who threw 4 hitless innings, but did allow a run. Roel Ramirez, who the Mets just claimed of waivers, got the loss.

The Rumble Ponies lost to the SeaWolves besides hitting 4 homeruns in the loss. Carlos Rincon hit his first in the Mets organization since the Mets got him for McKinney.

The St. Lucie Mets clobbered the Maraunders 15-0. Warren Saunders and Tanner Murphy homered in a 7 run seventh innings to blow the game open.

Syracuse Mets (22-41)

The Syracuse Mets just held a big lead, beating the Red Wings 14-12. Syracuse got a big third inning, scoring nine runs.

A lot of good offensive performances as Syracuse collected 14 hits with 4 homeruns. Albert Almora, Khalil Lee, Patrick Mazeika and Drew Jackson homered. Jackson homer was in grand style as he hit a grand slam in the third.

The Rumble Ponies beat the Altoona Curve 4-3, after a 3 run eight got the Ponies the lead.

The Cyclones got crushed 13-3 after getting 2 scoreless frames from Carlos Carrasco in his first rehab stint. The Cyclones offense wasn’t able to keep up with the BlueClaws offense.

MetsJunkies MiLB Recap: J.D. Davis Goes Yard Again

Syracuse Mets (21-41)

The Syracuse Mets split a Doubleheader against the Red Wings on Wednesday.

Game one:

Syracuse lost the opener 9-4 besides homeruns from Chance Sisco and J.D. Davis. Overall Syracuse collected just 5 hits without any multi hit games.

Jesus Reyes dropped to 0-8 after allowing 5 runs over 6 innings of work.

Game two:

Game two went to Syracuse on a 7-5 win. Cheslor Cuthbert was the big man going 2 for 2 with 2 homeruns and 3 RBI’s.

Cameron Maybin had a 3 hits game, driving in one run and Orlando Calixte drove in two with a 2 run double.

Nick Tropeano got the start allowing just one run in 3.1 innings. Hartlieb struggled allowing 3 runs and Roney got the blown save allowing another run in a 4 run 5th. After the offense got the lead back, Nogosek saved it in the seventh.

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (22-37)

The Rumble Ponies lost to the Altoona Curve 10-3. Jake Mangum doubled twice and drove in a run. Baty collected a double in his AA debut.

Carlos Cortes homered in the loss. It was Cortes his 10th of the season. In some bad news, Vientos left the game after he got hit on the left hand.

Dustin Beggs allowed 6 runs in 5.2 innings, allowing 10 hits. Hackimer didn’t fair better as he allowed 4 runs in 2.1 innings.

Brooklyn Cyclones (20-40)

The Cyclones lost to the BlueClaws 3-2. Ronny Mauricio drove in both runs with a double, going 2 for 3 on the day. The Cyclones collected just 4 total hits.

Jose Butto was strong going 5.2 innings, allowing just 2 runs on 3 hits. He allowed just 1 walk, while striking out 4.

St. Lucie Mets (33-29)

The St. Lucie Mets swept a Doubleheader against Palm Beach Cardinals.

Game one:

St. Lucie Mets got game one with a 6-3 win. Warren Saunders and Branden Fryman both collected two hits and a RBI.

The St. Lucie Mets went with a bullpen day in game one. Strong outings from Austin Faith, Colin Holderman and Reyson Santos were important after Luis Moreno struggled.

Game two:

St. Lucie won game two 4-2 after a big 3 run homerun from Matt O’Neil in the sixth to give St. Lucie the lead.

Alex Ramirez went 2 for 3 and Omar de los Santos went 2 for 3 with a RBI in his debut for St. Lucie.

Junior Santos pitched well over 6 innings of two run ball. He allowed 7 hits and 4 walks, but was able to limit the damage.

Luis Montas got the save with a scoreless seventh.

Syracuse Mets (Postponed)

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (17-31)

The Ponies beat the Flying Squirrels 6-2. Jake Mangum and Quinn Brodey collected 2 hits. Toffey drove in 2 in a 4 run third.

Adam Oller pitched well over 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits. He walked 1 and struck out 8.

Yeizo Campos pitched 3 scoreless in relief. He didn’t allow a hit and struck out 3.

Brooklyn Cyclones (17-31)

The Cyclones split a Doubleheader against the IronBirds.

Game one:

The Cyclones lost the first game 2-1 against the IronBirds. Cody Bohanek homered for the only run. Francisco Alvarez had a 2 hit game in the loss.

Jose Butto was good in a 6 inning complete game. He allowed just 2 runs on 5 hits with 9 strikeouts. It was enough to beat him.

Game Two:

The Cyclones beat the same IronBirds 7-6 in game two. Ronny Mauricio homered in the fourth inning for a 2 run bomb. It’s the top prospect eight of the season.

Brett Baty went 2 for 2 with a walk. Ashford and Bohanek drove in a couple of runs.

Jaison Vilera collected his first win of the year with 5 innings of 3 run ball.

St. Lucie Mets (27-22)

The St. Lucie Mets clobbered the Threshers 13-4. A big 7 run second inning, with 3 run homeruns from Warren Saunders and Nic Gaddis got the St. Lucie Mets going. Saunders drove in 4.

Joe Suozzi kept his strong season going, driving in 3 of his own. Luis Moreno pitched 5.2 innings of 4 run ball, which was more than enough for the St. Lucie offense today.

Yesterday was announced that Brett Baty and Francisco Alvarez will represent the Mets in the Futures Game.

MetsJunkies MiLB Recap: Saunders Hits First Homerun of the Year

Syracuse Mets (11-20)

The Syracuse Mets got clobbered by the Worcester Red Sox 11-4. Besides the loss, their was good news from Syracuse, as Almora and Guillorme played in rehab to try and return. They both went hitless.

Cheslor Cuthbert homered for the second time since joining the Mets organization. In just 4 games, Cuthbert has two homers and 5 RBIs.

Adam Bostick struggled again as he allowed 7 runs in 3 innings of work. Nogosek kept his strong season going with 1.1 scoreless innings.

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (9-21)

The Rumble Ponies got clobbered as well, losing 12-0 to the Baysox. The Ponies collected just three hits, with Cortes collecting the only extra base hit.

Luc Rennie allowed 5 runs in 4 innings in his start.

Brooklyn Cyclones Postponed

St. Lucie Mets (18-13)

After struggling to hit lately, the St. Lucie Mets offense broke out for 12 runs on 17 hits, beating the Palm Beach Cardinals 12-6. Warren Saunders was great going 4 for 5 with a homerun and 2 RBI’S. Shervyen Newton drove in 3.

Franklyn Parra made his first start of the year, going 3 innings of 2 run ball. Montas and Taveras combined for 3.2 scoreless frames to shut down the Palm Beach Cardinals after St. Lucie grabbed the lead in the 6th.
