Syracuse Mets (5-15)

The Syracuse Mets lost the latest battle of the worst teams in the division, losing to the Red Wings 7-4.

Mason Williams kept his good season going with a 2 for 5 day with 2 runs and a RBI. David Thompson drove in a run with his 2 for 4 day.

Jesus Reyes allowed 4 runs on 10 hits in 5.1 innings of work. Sam McWilliams, who might be the 27th man today, went one scoreless inning.

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (2-17)

The Rumble Ponies just can’t get going after another loss. The RubberDucks beat the Ponies 3-1 in a 7 inning Doubleheader game (second was postponed). Jeremy Vasquez drove in the only run and Vientos went 1 for 3 with 2 strikeouts.

The Ponies got 4 innings of one run ball from Cole Gordon. He lowered his ERA to 3.97.

Brooklyn Cyclones (Postponed)

St. Lucie Mets (14-6)

The St. Lucie Mets beat the 4-3 after a Shervyen Newton Walk Off Walk in the bottom of the ninth after Jimmy Titus tied it with bases loaded walk off his own. The St. Lucie Mets collected just 4 hits but walked eight times in the win.

Warren Saunders had two of the 4 hits, with a run scoring hit.

On the pitching side the St. Lucie Mets got a gem from Justin Lasko, who went 8 innings of one run ball, allowing just 5 hits, no walks with 8 strikeouts. The former 30th round pick lowered his ERA to 1.96 on the season.

Lasko gem was blown in the ninth as Reyson Santos allowed back to back homers to open the ninth. He settled down after, striking out the side.

MetsJunkies MiLB Recap: Big Hit For Newton, Helps St. Lucie to a Win

Syracuse Mets (2-8)

The Syracuse Mets bats were silenced in a 2-1 loss to the Worcester Red Sox. Quinn Brodey homered in the seventh to break up the no-no and shutout.

Yamamoto got the start and he was terrific over 4.1 innings of one run ball. Yamamoto struck out 8 in the loss. Hildenberger struck out 5 in 2.1 scoreless, Vizcaino and Yennsy Diaz followed with scoreless outings. Stephen Nogosek allowed the game winning run after a bases loaded walk off walk.

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (0-9)

The Rumble Ponies lost for the 9th straight game to open the year with a 9-7 loss to the Curve.

Nick Meyer collected three hits and Mark Vientos crushed his second homer of the season.

Dylan Hall and Thomas McIlraith struggled but Tony Dibrell pitched 3 scoreless innings with 3 strikeouts.

Brooklyn Cyclones (4-5)

The Cyclones lost their second in a row after a 5-1 loss to the Drive. Joe Genord drove in the only run with his 3rd homer of the year.

Andrew Edwards pitched 2.1 scoreless ball in the 5-1 loss.

St. Lucie Mets (7-3)

The St. Lucie Mets beat the Tortugas after a 10 inning affair 5-4. Shervyen Newton drove in three, collecting two hits. The biggest a 2 run hit in the top of the 10th.

Justin Lasko pitched well over 6 strong innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits. Hunter Parsons got the win after 3 innings of one run ball. Colby Morris got his first pro save, allowing an unearned run in the bottom of the tenth.
