The Syracuse Mets lost 10-4 to the Buffalo Bisons. All Syracuse their runs came in the fifth, to take a 4-3 lead at the time.

The Syracuse bullpen couldn’t hold a 4-3 lead in the eight, allowing 7 runs to score in that frame.

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (26-40)

The Rumble Ponies powered their way to a 6-4 win over the SeaWolves. David Rodriguez hit a grand Slam in the fourth, for the lead the Ponies held onto.

The Cyclones offense had themselves a field day, scoring 10 runs on 17 hits, beating the Blue Rocks 10-2. Big days from Antione Duplantis and Luis Gonzalez.

It’s was more than enough offense for Justin Lasko, who was terrific over 7 scoreless innings.

The St. Lucie Mets scored 4 runs in the bottom of the ninth and one in the tenth to best the Maraunders 6-5. Big hits from Alex Ramirez and Matt Dyer in the ninth, with Ramirez collecting another huge hit in the tenth to win it!

Syracuse Mets (23-43)

The Syracuse Mets got clobbered by the Bisons 14-1. The only run came on Albert Almora his solo homerun. Syracuse collected just 3 hits in the blow out loss.

Carrasco got the start and struggled. He allowed 3 homeruns, allowing 5 runs total in 1.2 innings. Carrasco threw 41 pitches, just 23 strikes. After Jesus Reyes got the bulk out of the pen, position player Drew Jackson got an inning and allowed 4 runs.

MetsJunkies MiLB Recap: J.D. Davis Goes Yard Again

Syracuse Mets (21-41)

The Syracuse Mets split a Doubleheader against the Red Wings on Wednesday.

Game one:

Syracuse lost the opener 9-4 besides homeruns from Chance Sisco and J.D. Davis. Overall Syracuse collected just 5 hits without any multi hit games.

Jesus Reyes dropped to 0-8 after allowing 5 runs over 6 innings of work.

Game two:

Game two went to Syracuse on a 7-5 win. Cheslor Cuthbert was the big man going 2 for 2 with 2 homeruns and 3 RBI’s.

Cameron Maybin had a 3 hits game, driving in one run and Orlando Calixte drove in two with a 2 run double.

Nick Tropeano got the start allowing just one run in 3.1 innings. Hartlieb struggled allowing 3 runs and Roney got the blown save allowing another run in a 4 run 5th. After the offense got the lead back, Nogosek saved it in the seventh.

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (22-37)

The Rumble Ponies lost to the Altoona Curve 10-3. Jake Mangum doubled twice and drove in a run. Baty collected a double in his AA debut.

Carlos Cortes homered in the loss. It was Cortes his 10th of the season. In some bad news, Vientos left the game after he got hit on the left hand.

Dustin Beggs allowed 6 runs in 5.2 innings, allowing 10 hits. Hackimer didn’t fair better as he allowed 4 runs in 2.1 innings.

Brooklyn Cyclones (20-40)

The Cyclones lost to the BlueClaws 3-2. Ronny Mauricio drove in both runs with a double, going 2 for 3 on the day. The Cyclones collected just 4 total hits.

Jose Butto was strong going 5.2 innings, allowing just 2 runs on 3 hits. He allowed just 1 walk, while striking out 4.

St. Lucie Mets (33-29)

The St. Lucie Mets swept a Doubleheader against Palm Beach Cardinals.

Game one:

St. Lucie Mets got game one with a 6-3 win. Warren Saunders and Branden Fryman both collected two hits and a RBI.

The St. Lucie Mets went with a bullpen day in game one. Strong outings from Austin Faith, Colin Holderman and Reyson Santos were important after Luis Moreno struggled.

Game two:

St. Lucie won game two 4-2 after a big 3 run homerun from Matt O’Neil in the sixth to give St. Lucie the lead.

Alex Ramirez went 2 for 3 and Omar de los Santos went 2 for 3 with a RBI in his debut for St. Lucie.

Junior Santos pitched well over 6 innings of two run ball. He allowed 7 hits and 4 walks, but was able to limit the damage.

Luis Montas got the save with a scoreless seventh.

Syracuse Mets (16-39)

The Syracuse Mets split a Doubleheader against the Railriders.

Game one:

Syracuse lost game one 3-2, as they collect only 3 hits. However two of the three went out of the park as Brandon Drury and Chance Sisco went yard.

Albert Almora had the other hit, a double and was able to gun down a runner at the plate.

Jesus Reyes dropped to 0-7 after allowing 3 runs over 4.2 innings.

Game two:

Syracuse won game two 5-0 in a rain shortened 6 inning game. Patrick Maizeka went 3 for 4 with an RBI. Maybin drove in two and Khalil Lee doubled home a run.

The Syracuse pitching combined to throw 5.2 scoreless. Eickhoff went 2 and Banda went 3.

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (20-34)

The Ponies beat the Fisher Cats 5-3. Carlos Cortes went 2 for 4 with 2 Doubles and 2 RBI’s. Luis Carpio hit a 2 run homerun. Mangum and Winaker collected two hits.

Adam Oller was solid over 5.1 innings, allowing just 3 runs (2 earned). Winans and Hackimer closed down the game for the victory.

Brooklyn Cyclones (18-36)

The Cyclones lost to the Renegades 3-2 after 10 innings. They collected just 4 hits, one of them a homer from Ronny Mauricio.

Jose Butto was solid allowing just 2 runs on 5 innings. He allowed just 5 hits without recording a walk and 6 strikeouts. Hejka got the loss allowing the ghost runner to score.

St. Lucie Mets (30-26)

The St. Lucie Mets beat the Mighty Mussels 6-2 with help from rehabbing Johneswhy Vargas, who went 1 for 4 with solo homerun. Matt Dyer and Joe Suozzi also homered in the victory.

Junior Santos was solid over 4.2 innings of 2 run ball. The bullpen was tremendous going 4.1 scoreless.

MetsJunkies MiLB Recap: Vientos Hits 10th Inning Go Ahead Homerun

Syracuse Mets (12-35)

The Syracuse Mets lost to the Bisons 9-7 after 11 innings. Brandon Drury had another clutch homerun, tying the game in the ninth. Drury went 2 for 6 with 2 RBI’s

Wilfredo Tovar also had a good game, going 2 for 6, with a homerun and 3 RBIs.

David Rodriguez got the Syracuse Mets closer in the eight with a solo homerun. Rodriguez also collected two hits in the loss.

Adam Bostick allowed 4 runs over 4 innings, mainly due to 3 homeruns (one from Dilson Herrera). Renteria, Cobb and Roney all pitched well in relief but Windle allowed 3 runs (2 earned) in the eleventh.

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (15-31)

The Rumble Ponies came back from 8-5 to beat the Fightin Phils 10-8 after 10 innings. Mark Vientos hit jet another homerun to give the Ponies the lead in the 10th. It’s Vientos his 12th of the year. He also played LF for the first time in his pro career.

Carlos Cortes also hit a huge three run homerun in the fifth. It was Cortes his ninth of the year. Yoel Romero hit a clutch three run homerun to tie the game in the eight.

Luke Rennie struggled over 4.1 innings, allowing 7 runs. The bullpen was great with Jared Robinson allowing just a run in 2.2 innings and Gilliam closed it out with 3 scoreless innings.

Brooklyn Cyclones (16-29)

The Cyclones got shutout on two hits against the BlueClaws. Cody Bohanek had the only two hits. Baty got the golden Sombrero in a 0 for 4 day. Mauricio went 0 for 3 with a HBP and 2 SB.

Justin Lasko was solid allowing 3 runs on 8 hits over 6 innings. He didn’t walk anyone and struck out 6. Ragan and Orze pitched well in relief.

St. Lucie Mets (26-22)

The St. Lucie Mets beat Dunedin 5-4 after two runs scored in the bottom of the ninth on an error.

Alex Ramirez had a great day going 3 for 5 with his second homerun of the year. Luis Gonzalez went 2 for 4 with a RBI.

David Griffin allowed 4 runs over 5.1 innings of work. Jeffrey Colon and Willy Taveras both pitched very well in relief to give the St. Lucie the change to win!
