Per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com, the New York Mets slugger has broken a franchise record.
While it’s not the biggest record to break, or even like the top 10 records to break within an organization, it does project for him to have a huge year.
The first baseman leads the Majors in Home Runs and is second in RBI’s and Runs Scored. He’s also fourth in the Majors in Slugging Percentage and fifth OPS, while he’s ranked 48th in OBP, it is worth mentioning that it’s at a very impressive .374 clip.
This is an MVP type caliber player having an MVP type caliber first quarter of the season.
