Five Celebrities Who Are Mets Fans

Once upon a time, in the land of New York, there was a beloved baseball team called the Mets. They were known for their loyal fans and enthusiastic spirit (Because Fuck the Yankees!). The Mets had an interesting following, not just among the average Joe, but also among celebrities.

Yes, you read that right. Celebrities are not just fans of the glitz and glamour, but they also take their sport fandom seriously. Some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry are also fans of the Mets.

One such celebrity is Jerry Seinfeld. The famous comedian has been a Mets fan since he was a child. He even owns a box seat at Citi Field, where he can watch the game from the comfort of his own private lounge.

Seinfeld has even incorporated his love for the Mets into his comedy routines, citing them in his jokes on numerous occasions.

Another famous Mets fan is actor Kevin James. The King of Queens star has been a longtime supporter of the team and has been spotted at Citi Field on several occasions. He is not shy about his love for the team and has even recorded several promotional videos for the Mets.

No list of celebrity Mets fans would be complete without mentioning another New York icon, Billy Joel. The singer-songwriter has been a supporter of the team for several years and even played a concert at Shea Stadium before its demolition. He has been spotted at games, rocking the teams’ colors and cheering on the players.

Even athletes from different sports aren’t afraid to represent the Orange & Blue. Utah Jazz superstar Donovan Mitchell has taken his opinions on the team to Twitter on multiple occasions.

Mitchell’s fandom stems from when his father served as the Mets Director of Player Relations and got to spend his youth around the team’s locker room. He was such a fan, that the first poster he ever hung in his room was one of none other than David Wright. Awesome!

It’s not just comedians and musicians that are fans of the Mets. Even acclaimed filmmaker Spike Lee is a proud supporter. The acclaimed director has been a fan since the early 80s and has been seen wearing the team’s gear while sitting courtside at Knicks games, you know, back when he was allowed at Madison Square Garden.

Unfortunately, Lee is also a fan of the Yankees. Someone in his camp is going to have to make him pick a side and stick to it!

In conclusion, the New York Mets have an interesting and diverse set of fans, including some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. They all share a love for the game and the team, and their support only adds to the Mets’ incredibly loyal and enthusiastic fan base. Who knows? Maybe you’ll spot a celebrity or two at the next Mets game you attend!
