Rookie sensation catcher Fransisco Alvarez drove in his first RBI on his first hit, in his first at-bat early on in this contest against the Marlins as well as this 2023 campaign.

Buck Showalter has shown a lot of praise towards backstop Tomas Nido, especially with the Puerto Rican native’s abilities behind the dish. However, Nido is hitting just .125 after appearing in six games.
