New York Mets right fielder Starling Marte is scheduled for a session of live on-field batting practice, says Andy Martino of SNY.
This is obviously a great sign, and we suspect more news to come, shortly.
As far as the front office and coaches are concerned, they are aware of Marte’s spring schedule, as well as when they plan to put him in live game action.
Marte was an integral part of the team’s offensive success at the top of the lineup. The Dominican born outfielder played in 118 games while hitting .292/.347/.468/.814 with 24 doubles, 16 home runs, while swiping 18 bags in 2022.
By the looks of it, the Mets are not worried.
