Former New York Mets reliever Adonis Medina will sign a contract to join the Kia Tigers or the KBO (Korean Baseball Organization).
Medina, who was acquired for cash from the Pittsburgh Pirates, had an abysmal 2022 season as the reliever pitched to a 6.08 ERA throughout the span of 23.2 innings in 14 games.
A couple of Medina’s most memorable games include his first win versus the Philadelphia Phillies on Cinco de Mayo (5th of May). The versatile pitcher tossed 2.2 innings while giving up a single hit and striking out one. Just one month later on June 5th, while playing the Dodgers in Los Angeles, the Mets’ right-hander would next collect his very first career save against the Powerhouse Dodgers.
The Tigers’ pitcher is probably far from calling it a professional baseball career, however there’s absolutely no telling if Medina can earn his way back to where the elite earn their money.
