Mets Sign Daniel Palka to Minor League Deal

According to the Mets transactions page, they have added 30 year old outfielder Daniel Palka to a minor league deal. The left handed hitting outfielder has played in the majors for the White Sox, hitting 27 homers in 2018. After a brief time in 2019, he hasn’t been back in the show since.

Nicks Highlights

After playing in the KBO in 2020, he returned to the US in 2021, playing for AAA Rochester in the Nats organization. In 106 games he had a .836 OPS with 18 homers.

Palka will provide some outfield depth as he is mainly a Right Fielder. He will most likely be behind guys like Plummer and Lee, as they are on the 40 man roster.
