MetsJunkies MiLB Recap: J.D. Davis Has Big Day as Syracuse Scores 18

Syracuse Mets (20-40)

The Syracuse Mets rocked the Red Wings 18-2. J.D. Davis seems ready to return, going 4 for 6 with 2 doubles, a homer and 3 RBI’s. Khalil Lee also homered, going 2 for 4 with 3 RBIS.

With 21 hits, a lot of good days for the offensive players. Drury and Mazeika both had 2 hits and two runs batted in, Drew Jackson drove in three.

It was more than enough for Robert Stock who went 6 innings of one run ball. Stock allowed 6 hits and a walk, while striking out 8.

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (22-36)

The Rumble Ponies couldn’t overcome a 6 run first in a 6-3 loss to the Altoona Curve.

The Ponies collected just 5 hits, one went out of the yard for a Luis Carpio homer. Johneswhy Fargas went 1 for 4 as he reached Binghamton in rehab.

Luc Rennie allowed 6 first inning runs, but settled down a bit after, going 4.2 innings with 8 strikeouts. Robinson and Mitchell combined for 3.1 scoreless.

Brooklyn Cyclones (20-39)

The Cyclones won an old fashioned pitching duel 1-0. Mauricio went 2 for 4 and Vazquez drove in the only run with an eight inning sac fly.

Jaison Vilera had a much needed strong outing, pitching 5 scoreless innings. Colby Morris and Michel Otanez both went 2 scoreless is close out the close win.
