Syracuse Mets (14-36)
The Syracuse Mets split a Doubleheader against the Red Wings.
Game one:
Syracuse lost the first game 4-1. Jesus Reyes dropped to 0-6 after allowing 4 runs on 10 hits in 5 innings. Wilfredo Tovar drove in the only Syracuse run, going 2 for 2.
Game two:
Syracuse bounced back, coming back from a 5-1 deficit to beat the Red Wings 6-5 in game two. Ceasar Puello RBI hit drove in the winning run in the bottom of the eight.
Mason Williams went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI’s, tying the game in the sixth.
Drew Jackson had himself a day, going 3 for 3 and robbing a homerun to go with it.
Robert Stock got the start allowing 4 runs (2 earned) over 2.2 innings. Nogosek and Renteria came up clutch in relief.
Binghamton Postponed
Brooklyn Cyclones (17-32)
The Cyclones lost a rain shortened game 2-0 against the IronBirds. Duplantis collected two of the 4 hits. Baty and Alvarez both had one.
Cam Opp pitched well in the loss. He allowed just 2 runs (1 earned) on 3 hits in 5 innings.
St. Lucie Mets (27-24)
The St. Lucie Mets got swept in their Doubleheader on Thursday.
Game one:
St. Lucie lost the first game 5-2. Alex Ramirez drove in a run with a double and Cole Kleszcz tripled home a run. Brandon McIlwain collected two hits.
Junior Santos got the complete game loss, going 6 innings of 5 run ball.
Game two:
St. Lucie lost the second game 4-2. Nic Gaddis went 2 for 3 with a double, homerun, RBI and both runs scored. Oscar Rojas got the loss, going 5.1 innings of 4 run ball.
