MetsJunkies MiLB Recap: Kisena Shines as Cyclones Walk it Off

Syracuse Mets (11-31)

The Syracuse Mets lost their 13th in a row after a 4-3 loss to the Bisons. Nimmo went 0 for 2 with a walk in his rehab game. Drury and Blankenhorn drove in a run.

Syracuse got solid outings from Bostick and Schugel, who both pitched 3 innings of one run ball. Dellin Betances pitched a scoreless frame, allowing two hits with one K. Nogosek struggles continue, dropping to 0 and 5, after allowing 2 runs.

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (13-29)

The Rumble Ponies lost 8-6, besides homeruns from Jake Mangum and Mark Vientos. It’s Vientos his 6th of June, hitting .269/.345/.673 in June!

Walter Lagrange and the formentioned Mangum collected three hits in the loss.

Troy Miller allowed 5 runs over 5.1 innings.

Brooklyn Cyclones (14-27)

The Cyclones won on a walk off hit from Jose Mena in the bottom of the tenth, beating the BlueClaws 3-2.

The Cyclones collected just three hits, but got some big hits late in the game. Duplantis hit a huge 7th inning triple to give the Cyclones the lead. A bases loaded walk and RBI hit, got them the walk off in the tenth.

Alec Kisena was brilliant over 5.1 of scoreless ball. He allowed just 4 hits and 2 walks, while striking out 6. Eric Orze pitched 2 innings of hitless ball, allowing an unearned run. Mitch Ragan allowed just the Ghost Runner in 2.2 innings of work, to earn the win.

St. Lucie Mets (Suspended Game)

The St. Lucie Mets game got suspended in the sixth with a 10-10 tie. St. Lucie allowed 5 runs before the rain suspended the game. Jose Peroza hit a grand Slam and Matt Dyer also homered, driving in two. Joe Suozzi collected 2 hits and 2 RBI’S.

Moreno, Willy Taveras and Sammy Taveras all struggled in their outings.
