Syracuse Mets (10-18)
The Syracuse Mets played a Doubleheader on Friday after the Thursday postponed game. They split the twinbill with the Buffalo Bisons.
Syracuse lost game one after failing to take the lead with the free runner in the top of the eight. Stephen Nogosek, who has been splendid, allowed the free runner to score on the walk off loss 5-4.
The Mets got a solid start from Thomas Szapucki, who got betrayed by his defense (error Guillorme). Szapucki allowed 3 runs (1 earned) in 5 innings. He allowed just 2 hits, but both went out of the yard. Positive note was that Szapucki allowed just one walk, with 7 strikeouts.
Guillorme went 1 for 1 with a walk as he tries to return. Mazeika kept hitting, going 2 for 4 with a double and a RBI. Khalil Lee also had a good game going 2 for 3 with a double and 2 runs batted in.

Tyler Megill made his AAA debut with 4 innings of 2 run ball. Oswalt and Renteria pitched well to combine for just 1 unearned run in 3 innings.

Talk about a bomb! 💣💣 Ronny Mauricio deposits a ball over the center field wall for his FIFTH homer of the season. The Cyclones also had a regular scheduled game as they lost 5-4. The Cyclones collected just 2 hits. A 2 run single for Baty and a long bomb for Francisco Alvarez.
Francisco Álvarez with yet another homer to deep center field! These Cyclones are homer happy this series! He breaks the 3-3 tie and puts Brooklyn up by 1. @Mets_Minors @Metsmerized #Brooklyn #Cyclones #Mets #MetsTwitter pic.twitter.com/PTphuoH4kj— Joseph Langan (@JosephLangan2) June 5, 2021

The Cyclones bullpen couldn’t hold the lead after not one, but two catchers interferences in the sixth. A tough loss for Allen Winans who allowed an unearned run in that inning.
St. Lucie Mets (16-12)
The St. Lucie Mets offense keeps struggling since Alvarez his promotion and PCA his injury. St. Lucie collected just 4 hits in a 3-2 loss to the Mighty Mussels.
