The 21-10 New York Mets will play the second out of a four-game set against the 19-29 Colorado Rockies. After suffering a loss last night, this highly decimated Mets team is looking to get back into the win column.
The Mets plan to send their ace Jacob deGrom to the hill, making his seventh appearance of the season. The DeLand, Florida native is 3-2 with a 0.68 ERA with 65 K’s in 40.0 innings pitched.
deGrom is coming fresh off of the Injured List after he was experiencing tightness on his left side. Luckily, his stint on the IL has been short, as the Mets need as many people back on the field.
The Colorado Rockies will have 28-year old Kyle Freeland on the mound, a veteran left-hander making his 2021 debut. Freeland injured his shoulder during Spring Training, however has thrown 10.0 innings to a 1.80 during his rehab assignment.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 PM EST and will be televised locally on SNY.
