The Rockies would hit the board first in the second with a pair of home runs, solo shots by Ryan McMahon and Elias Diaz.
While Peterson didn’t pitch that bad at all, he continues to be on the short end of the stick. The left-hander threw six innings while giving up three runs on five hits.
While playing his first professional game at first base today, James McCann would also hit a solo home run in seventh. The home run would bring the score to 3-1, Rockies.

Centerfielder Johneshwy Fargas would end up exiting the game after colliding into the wall while trying to make a grab. Unfortunately, not only did the out not get recorded, but Fargas would leave the game due to injuring his shoulder/neck.
Reliever Jacob Barnes pitched two scoreless innings out of the pen while Yennsy Diaz pitched one of his own. Barnes has brought his ERA down to 6.59 while Diaz has yet to give up any runs in his two innings of work.
Brandon Drury would spark some life in the Mets lineup as he would lead off the ninth inning with a home run. The home run would be his first as a Met and cut the lead down to 3-2.
Unfortunately the late rally would not be enough as James McCann would record the final out of the evening. This is just the Colorado Rockies third victory on the road this year.
