Syracuse Mets (4-14)
The Syracuse Mets lost to the IronPigs 7-2 on Sunday. Nick Meyer and Sebastián Elizalde both collected 2 hits from the top of the order.
Kilome got the start allowing 6 runs (4 earned) over 5.2 innings of work. Stephen Nogosek kept his good season going with a scoreless ninth.
Binghamton Rumble Ponies (2-15)
Another close game that didn’t fall to the Rumble Ponies as the SeaWolves beat the Ponies 5-4. Carlos Cortes and Manny Rodriguez homered in the loss. Mark Vientos went 0 for 4 with 2 strikeouts.
Adam Oller allowed 5 runs over 6 innings of work in his start. Yeizo Campos pitched 2 scoreless to keep the Rumble Ponies in the game.
Brooklyn Cyclones (7-10)
The Cyclones won a thriller in 12 innings against the Renegades 6-5. Hayden Senger hit a walk off three run homerun in the bottom of the 12th.
Zach Ashford homered in the sixth to score two runs. One of the two hits for Ashford. Mauricio hit a big RBI single to tie the game in the 11th, going 1 for 5 on the day.
Jose Butto got the start and he was tremendous over 5 innings of one run ball. Butto allowed just 5 hits without walking anybody, while striking out 5. The rightly lowered his ERA to 3.93.
Hejka allowed 3 unearned runs (2 ghost runners), combined in the 11th and 12th, but got the win after the Cyclones rallied.
St. Lucie Mets (13-5)
The St. Lucie Mets beat the Palm Beach Cardinals behind a big three run homerun from Francisco Alvarez. He went 2 for 6 as the DH and is now hitting .417/.567/.648 with 15 walks and 7 strikeouts on the season.
Other good days came from Shervyen Newton, Warren Saunders, Cole Kleszcz and Tanner Murphy.
Austin Faith pitched well over 4 scoreless innings. He allowed just 2 hits, 1 walk, striking out 7 in the win. He lowered his ERA to 2.19.
