MetsJunkies MiLB Recap: Mauricio Homers for Second Straight Day

Syracuse Mets (1-4)

The Syracuse Mets lost their fourth in a row after a 4-2 loss against the RailRiders on Saturday.

Syracuse collected just 5 hits, one of them out of the ballpark as Bradon Drury hit his first of the year.

Yamamoto got the start and allowed 3 runs over 3.1 innings of work, allowing two homeruns. The bullpen combined to throw 5.1 innings of one run ball. Sean Reid-Foley pitched two scoreless in the loss.

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (0-5)

The Rumble Ponies still waiting for their first win as they lost their 5th in a row to the RubberDucks 5-1.

Yoel Romero was the only Rumble Pony with a 2 hit game as he went 2 for 4. Yeizo Campos pitched three scoreless in his start, but Riley Gilliam falthered allowing 4 runs in his outing.

Brooklyn Cyclones (2-3)

The Cyclones strong offense start to the year continued with another offensive explosion in a 16-12 win to the Tourists. Mauricio homered for the second straight game going 1 for 5. Cody Bohanek, Luke Ritter and Joe Genord also homered. Genord collected three hits in the win.

The pitching struggled but 2018 9th round pick Bryce Montes de Oca pitched a scoreless frame with one strikeout.

St. Lucie Mets (4-1)

The only Mets minor league team with a winning record is the St. Lucie Mets. They beat the HammerHeads 8-4.

Big man was Matt Dryer who collected 3 hits, one of them a three run homerun in the first. Pete Crow-Armstrong kept his strong start going with a 2 for 4 day. Alvarez went 1 for 3 with 2 walks in the win.

Franklyn Parra was great over 3 innings of one run ball, striking out 4.
