After splitting the doubleheader with the Rockies last night, the Mets look to take the series today with Marcus Stroman on the hill.
Before Stroman takes the mound, the Mets will be opposing Antonio Senzatela, a right-hander from Valencia, Venezuela. In three appearances this season, Senzatela owns a terrible 7.07 ERA with a 1.64 WHIP.
While he has a 1-2 record, somehow managing to win a game, he’s only struck out seven batters in 14.0 innings pitched. So he isn’t missing many bats and the Mets should look to benefit in this contest.
Stroman on the other hand has been nothing short of spectacular. The Long Island, New York native owns a 2-0 record so far during this 2021 campaign.
The sinker throwing righty has the arsenal to keep batters on their toes and off-balance. Stroman owns a 0.75 ERA and a 0.75 WHIP in his 12 innings pitched, so far.
First pitch is scheduled for 3:10 PM EST and will be televised locally on SNY.
