After watching baseball this weekend and feeling like the Mets don’t exist anymore, they’ll finally open the season against the Phillies in Philadelphia. With LHP Matt Moore slated to take the bump, the 3-0 Phillies look to keep it going.
Moore, a Fort Walton Beach, Florida native, is 54-56 throughout his career while posting a 4.51 ERA in 894.2 innings pitched. While the lefty started off his career with a bang, he’s not pitched since 2019 in which he logged in total of ten innings with a 0.00 ERA for the Detroit Tigers.
Of course for the Mets, ace Jacob deGrom takes the hill and will look to continue his course for his third Cy Young award. Last season, deGrom finished the 60-game season with a 4-3 record and a 2.38 ERA.
Tonight’s first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM EST and will be televised locally on SNY.
