After a day off, the New York Mets will host the Washington Nationals at Clover Park in Port St. Lucie, Florida. David Peterson will take the mound in this contest for the Mets.
Peterson will make his third appearance as he currently owns a 4.50 ERA. The left-hander has only struck out one batter in 6.0 innings pitched but has a fair 1.33 WHIP. The Denver, Colorado native will likely be the teams fourth starter in the rotation.
The Nationals plan to send right-hander Kyle McGowin to the hill. The New York native has pitched to 2.35 ERA in 7.2 innings while having struck out ten.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:10 PM EST and will be televised locally on SNY, as well as nationally on MLB Network.
