Some breaking news by the Mets as they announced that former Gator and NFL Quarterback Tim Tebow has retired from the game of baseball.
Tebow spend 3 seasons in the Mets organization, playing in St. Lucie, Columbia, Binghamton and Syracuse. Over the 3 seasons Tebow hit .223/.299/.338 with 18 homeruns and 107 RBIs over 287 games.
I respect the effort Tebow brought and it brought a lot of excitement to minor league ballparks. Playing for sell out crowds helps your minor leaguers prepare for the big leagues. We all knew Tebow odds were against him to make it. We from MetsJunkies wish him the best.
